Can I start with Self-Paced Training and upgrade later?
Yes. While your enrollment remains active, you may upgrade from Self-Paced to Guided for the current tuition difference. Eligible Guided students may then upgrade to Career Ready for the current tuition difference. Your existing course progress stays in place, so you do not need to start the course again. Contact the academy before purchasing an upgrade if you are unsure whether your enrollment is eligible.
Is the training completely online?
Yes. All three course options are delivered online and can be completed flexibly. There are no required live classes.
Do I need pharmacy experience before enrolling?
No. The curriculum is designed to build pharmacy technician knowledge from the beginning, so prior pharmacy experience is not required.
How long does the training take?
The curriculum includes approximately 120 hours of training. Your actual completion time depends on your schedule, study pace, and chosen support level.
Will completing the course make me a CPhT?
No. The academy awards a certificate of completion, which is not the same as national certification. Successful completion meets PTCB’s recognized education pathway requirement to apply for the PTCE.
Is the PTCB exam fee included in tuition?
No. The PTCB application and examination fee is paid separately to PTCB. State registration and other state-specific costs are also separate.
